Stepping stones are helpful things. They are usually fairly easy to see and provide better footing than the surrounding area. Stepping stones can get you to where you want to go. While often not the shortest distance between two points, these stones provide assurance and often have the additional benefit of being a very scenic route.
What do stepping stones have to do with making money online? Well, considering that some of us have benefited from identifying where some of the paths through cyberspace have been placed, you just might like to know where those trail heads are. A well constructed path that others have already traveled is a much more comfortable and reassuring way to go rather than wandering around in the often confusing and perplexing vastness of the internet.
It really is not too much different than trails that were blazed across wilderness areas of the places that many of us know about. Imagine setting out on your own to explore the Grand Canyon, for example. Expert survivalists may return with great stories and pictures to share, yet most tourist are well advised to stay on the trails! Better yet, take a guided tour so that you can benefit from the insights of those that know the terrain extremely well.
Whether we call them guides/coaches/mentors/sponsors their are folks that have gone where we want to go and are willing to take us down what is now a familiar path to them ... allowing them to point out the stepping stones along the way when the pathway is less clear.
Okay, you have your reasons for wanting to set out into the vast expanses of digital space. Do what most parents would advise their children to do on an adventure of this type. Go with others. Make sure there are responsible, experienced people in the group that are willing to watch out and take care of others, have a clear idea of the destination, let others know where you are going and when you plan to arrive, etc. Your adventure may be just a bit less spontaneous yet you are much more likely to have fond memories of it ... not to mention, greatly increase your chances of survival.
