Great News (7/5/2012) - We hit the minimum amount $880 and Don delivered a check to the homeowners association for Annie's July rent today. He has decided to run his fundraiser through the weekend to hopefully present a second check directly to Annie for expenses.
I also asked whether she was getting any help, like a pension or something from her husband's time in the service. It seems she was, but there has been some type of administrative glitch and her benefits were cut. Our fundraiser is buying her some time to get this all straightened out.
So please continue to play free games for Annie right through the weekend.

Don Snyder, the owner of Horror Movie Hits traffic exchange, is rallying behind a woman who lost her husband when he died in Kuwait from a war related injury sustained in Iraq a few years ago. She is not doing very well financially and doesn’t have enough money to make rent this month. She lives across the street from him. Her name is Annie and she has a son who looks about 10 years old. Some neighbors are donating food and essential products to her and her son, but Don would really like to get her rent taken care of.
Don is running some specials at his site that go until July 4th because July 5th is the last day that she can pay her rent without massive penalties. On the 5th he will hopefully present her with 2 checks, one made out to the townhome complex that we live in for $880 and another made out to her if we happen to exceed the $880 rent figure which will help her with her bills.
As a widow myself (cancer), I don’t want to see another woman have to worry about anything more than dealing with the loss of her loved one and comforting her son.
I have told Don that I will donate all the PPV income from my SkyGames site earned thru July 4 to add to the fund. All I am asking is that you go to my site and play some free games. The 13-second TV ads that play while each game loads generate the income. You don’t even have to register to play, although you might want to if you want to be included in the weekly high score contests.
So let’s come together for a common purpose. Annie lost her husband while fighting for your freedom and safety, I think it is the least that we can do.
Let’s make a difference.

I don't know if being older and understanding what was happening made it easier or more difficult for them, but they can definitely empathize with Annie's son. |
