Researching an MLM Business- What to Look Out For

These are just a few examples that are very valuable and you should pay close attention to. Also you should take note and read the fine print. Just be cautious, do your homework and get your questions answered.
No Physical Address or Contact Name: Not all the MLM businesses require an actual address. Companies that are offering the actual product or services to the reps and consumers would have an address. A phone number is also valuable because if you do not have one, it makes it impossible to pursue for customer service, commissions or any issue you have.
Vague Bio of Executive: This is very important to actually see a picture and bio of the higher up (status) there should be some knowledge of their background and their work.
Bigger, Better, Biz Opportunity: Sometimes business opportunities have failed elsewhere and revamped. They could be in a new website, with a new name, compensation plan and advertise as a new opportunity. As we know some failure in a business is blamed on poor management and this may not be the situation. It could be the opportunity.
Due Diligence Questions: You know the answers that do everything but answer the question you ask. Simple but valuable questions like where is your corporate office, how many people involved, and the answered is indirect. It is way off the topic, like, why do you want to know? Or a question about the company and how are they doing. The answer maybe, of course a great opportunity you can tell by just looking at the offices. How does this help you, no information given to you?
Payment: Allowing only certain payments, this has happened to me before. An example would be payment accepted by check or money order. This eliminates the ability for you to pay for the product with a credit card. This intern eliminates you ability to dispute the charges if the company fails to deliver. Some of us do not like using a credit card on the phone or online. Having credit cards helps you if you need a refund.
Offshore Address: This has frightened me before. In this situation there should be sufficient information of the business, their address and location.
No Tangible Product: Without a tangible network marketing or direct sales product it is very hard and difficult to show there is something being sold to an end- user other than an opportunity.
Refunds or Non Existent Refund: A legitimate mlm company will stand behind their services and product. No refund policy or one that expires in a short time frame may be a questionable situation.
Just wanted to share this. Again just do your homework. Go by your 'gut feeling' helps also.
