It’s no longer a rumor. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are ending their marriage. They have been married for 5 years. From a Hollywood standard, that is eternal.
There are many experts advocating various ways to keep marriage/relationship going on forever. No one knows the formula. Each relationship ultimately depends on the two individuals involved. One never knows what triggers in a relationship.
There are those who say money (not having enough) plays a big role. Obviously that is not the case with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Some say that religion plays a role. Some say infidelity plays a big role.
I do not claim to have answers. Relationships are complex for it has so many variable internal and external dynamics. Then you need to add emotions to that combination.
