Look around you. Who is doing the looking? Of course, it is YOU.
So what about it? You ask.
What you see around you is a reflection of what you see yourself. If you have positive image of yourself, chances are you will be captivated by positive images. If you have negative image of yourself, you will focus on negative images.
Your being begins with you. Sounds simple and it is simple.
The essence of your presence requires you to know YOU. Knowing you is the basic step to have self esteem. Self esteem is the feeling that you have about yourself. And your feelings are determined by how you see yourself- your self-image.
Being positive requires you to have great self-esteem. Most people don't think much of themselves thus they have low self-esteem because they have a negative self image.
By knowing you, you have assessment of yourself. You know what makes you feel good and what makes you feel bad. Knowing you means having the information to enhance your self-image. That is likely to boost your self-esteem.
When your self-esteem is strong, negativity from others will not deter you. As a strong person, you will hear them but you will not be swayed by their negative remarks. The most important person you want have on your side is YOU. Ironically, if you can't have faith in yourself, how can you possibly expect others to have faith in you?
Consider your strengths, talents and skills. Think about what you have achieved already and what you will still do in the future. You know YOU are a great person, with so much to offer.
