Unfortunate as it may be, truth is that we get wiser when we get older. I look back and I wonder where time has gone.
Truth is that, then you realize that time is your life. Looking ahead, you do not have much time left. And the time that is gone, you can't get it back.
Looking back you will realize that you should have spent time looking after your health. Times you could have spent exercising and healthy eating is gone. As a result you have become unhealthy, unfit and prone to sickness. Perhaps, often you killed time, but in reality you were being killed slowly.
The time you could have spent learning, enhancing your mind and exploring your visions is bygone. As a result, you did not learn what you needed to know, only to make poor decisions leading to bad results.
Sometimes retrospective vision can be constructive and yield better understanding of your own self. Then you realize, there is still time left for you.
Now on you will value time more than ever before.
Because you have realized that, you are not really wasting time but wasting your life.
