Dear team residual:
What a week. CEC added several new accounts and several new reps this week. There are 20 days left in the year and let’s finish strong. Everyone wants to save on something they are habitually using and unconsciously spending. Let’s not leave any rocks unturned.
Emex update:
Emex unveiled their limit price function this week. It is now possible to enter a price below the market that your prospect will accept. As the exchange is running and a supplier hits the limit price the prospect is obligated to take the contract. Make your bigger accounts aware of this feature. Additionally, Bluestar announced they will be available on Ameren statements.
Nordic update:
I heard from Nordic this week saying on JAN 31, 2012 they will offer residential in the Ameren service area. And on this date Nordic will available on Ameren statements for both commercial and residential.
Natural Gas continues to make new lows this week making sub 5 prices available for 1, 2 and 3 year contracts.

I am noticing a new trend in the energy markets. Accounts that are already deregulated but did not use a consultant are seeing prices skyrocket. As suppliers realize the person they are dealing with in uneducated in energy matters they take advantage and jack up the prices. I switched an account to Nordic the week that was paying 10.99 cents a KWH to another supplier. This account was dealing with the supplier directly and paid dearly.
