Finally, there are also the ambivalent Facebook users who randomly LIKE and share according to their whims and desires.
Be Fresh, Be Now
The Internet slang for promoting old content is known as “slowpoke”, a term which is also inappropriate for any trendy online business operation. If you simply must share a current viral content, be sure to do so within 48-hours since the content first surfaced on the Internet. Otherwise, a much better method of sourcing for viral content would be to simply create your own posting based on a hot topic. In general, ideas that prompt positive or humorous reactions are the best content to be associated with your business image.
No Sales Talk, Please
Just like in the offline world, hardly anyone goes online to read about sales text and write ups. Avoid hard selling your product or services as no sane Facebook user would LIKE said posting. Instead, consider incorporating information about your company into valuable postings. For example, instead of creating a Facebook post about the seven types of cheeses in your burger, you might want to consider posting up a video on how the burger is prepared instead, complete with instructions and humorous ad-libs from your chef. Another alternative would be to post up promotional material involving Facebook LIKES. For example, your burger joint could release $5 coupons off their next burger if said posting gains 5,000 Facebook LIKES.
Pay-to-Promote Post
Facebook currently allows users to promote their Facebook post for as much as USD100 per posting to reach thousands of people on the social media network. To activate the pay-to-promote option, all one has to do is post a content and then select the ‘Promote’ option. It should be noted though that the full effect and ROI of this promotional method has yet to be quantified, although it should stand to reason that the wider the exposure of your content, the higher the likelihood that someone will LIKE the post.
The nice thing about running an online advertising exercise on the Internet is that there is always space for new ideas and fresh content. When in doubt, keep on trying and you will eventually find a niche posting style that will help you better connect with your target audience.
