This blog is going to focus on filing back year taxes in the Philadelphia area because this is my local service area, but keep in mind that the same principle applies all over the country. My name is Michael Craig and I have a tax preparation and representation business in Philadelphia. I am right now doing 2010,2009, and 2008 tax returns for a number of clients who for one reason or another never filed the tax returns. I even do back year taxes further back than that. In my office, it doesn't matter why you haven't filed the returns. The IRS uses fear and is judgmental. I am not. I focus on solving the problem. The only thing the client has to do is come in, I'll take care of the rest. I even talk to the IRS for my tax clients because of my designation as an enrolled agent. Of course I get the client to fill out all the appropriate forms. Some people in Philadelphia know me as Mike1040 because I do so many 1040 tax returns at reasonable prices. Back year taxes aren't any more complicated than current year returns but sometimes people misplace their w-2s and other forms. Even if that's the case I can help them to get the forms.
