It was a normal day for me, sitting in MCdonalds enjoying a fish fillet meal for lunch. As my hour came to an end, Freddie came into the restaurant, looked at the menu, and walked out. I followed Freddie's moves from the moment he walked in until he made his exit. As Freddie left, something inside urged me get up and follow him out of the building. Something inside told me, "Freddie is hungry and needs a meal". As I passed through the door, Freddie had already made his way down the walk. I immediate summoned him "Hey Brother", I said, "Are you looking for a meal". At the sound of my voice, Freddie stopped his pace, turned around, and I could see his eyes light up. "Yes" he said, "I am really hungry". "Come on" I said, "I will buy you a meal". As Freddie and I entered back into McDonalds, we made our introductions and we talked for a while. Freddie like so many is going through financially hard times, and is living on the streets. I immediately related to Freddie because not to long ago, I was in financial straights myself and know what it means to be down and out. After giving him enough cash to buy a meal, I told Freddie of a Christian organization that I am involved in, that provides a way for average people like you and I to make income with little to know experience, and little to no money. I then offered to pay the small initial start up cost for joining the company, with only one request, and that is when Freddie is back on his feet in a few months that he would do the same for someone else in need. Freddie said "I see, kinda like paying it forward". "Exactly" I told him, "that is what this company is all about". I took Freddie's phone number and told him I would call him, to get him started. He was so thankful for my gesture and I assured him that the Love he saw was Jesus.
Wow, what a humbling experience. Today I met someone in need, gave him a meal, and introduced him to a business that WILL and I mean WILL Change his life financially forever. He will be managing his business from the local library computer until he get's back into a home.
