From time-to-time EVERYONE needs some type of assistance.
I have had the pleasure to network on and offline with some AMAZING professionals. I do a lot of volunteer work in my community and my efforts have been acknowledged and appreciated. So how can I expect anything else?
Recently I met a professional that is a coordinator for Voices Into Action. The group’s objectives and purposes interest me so much, I had to go ahead and begin to get the word out. The passion I had for simply getting the word out was much appreciated. I was told, “I have to give you something!” My response, no need, this is something I wanted to do for the community.”
An online acquaintance of mine recently contacted me to review a blog he was writing. I read the blog, gave my feedback and submitted my revisions. His response, “Make sure you contact me so your efforts can be rewarded.” My response, “The greatest reward was being able to give you insight. I you could just give me your gift of feedback, from time-to-time on my blog site www.feliciacorbett.com .”
Each time someone asks you to do something; you should not ALWAYS look for something in return. Your rewards will end up being greater than receiving something tangible.
This is my insight for you and remember to continue to HELP each other.
