Elite enemies drop Dark Zone keys in The Division 2

The Division 2 currently has three Dark Zones, which offer a mix of PvE and PvP interactions. The Dark Zones unlock fairly early, but they’re largely seen as places to hang out in the endgame. Though some of the Dark Zone features have returned from the original, The Division 2 has important changes and refinements to the Dark Zone. Our Dark Zone guide will help you get up and running in what can quickly become the most dangerous areas in The Division 2.

The main difference between the Dark Zone and the Occupied Dark Zone is scaling. In The Division 2, the Dark Zone takes the strength of your weapons and normalizes it, making it a set power level. That way enemies are killable, and no player has a huge advantage over anyone else. While this doesn’t negate weapon perks, such as faster reload speed or a bigger magazine, it makes guns do similar amounts of damage. The Dark Zones do the same thing with players’ armor, giving everyone the same amount to keep things (somewhat) fair. By the way, you can buy cheap The Division 2 Phoenix Credits from mmocs.com, where you can enjoy a 3% discount by using the code “ MMOCSVIP ”.

You can't even get into the Division 2 Dark Zone until you recruit the Dark Zone Operator, Senait Ezra after completing three settlement project missions for the Theatre. If the Dark Zone's a priority then make sure you work through all the Theatre specific missions until you get a message to talk to Senait, after which she'll move to the White House to set up shop. To actually access the Division 2 Dark Zones you'll have to complete a series of Dark Zone recon missions each of the three areas. These will introduce each place as well as initially teach you about contaminated loot, extraction and so on.Each Dark Zone Recon mission has to be done in order and has its own level requirements so you can't just plow through them all straight away.

The Division 2's Dark Zone has a lot of other players looking to grab loot for themselves and another way to pick up Dark Zone keys is to take out the players that are holding them. While some players might team up and help each other out to gain their share of a pot, most players won't think twice before killing you to nab your hard-earned loot for themselves.Taking them out first not only nets you any contaminated loot they were holding, but it also gives you any Dark Zone keys they might have obtained. Perhaps this method won't win you any popularity awards but it's certainly a quick way to get those keys. Just watch that you don't get jumped on before you have the chance to use them.

All of these missions given to The Division 2 players act somewhat like tutorials to provide primers on what one should expect out of each Dark Zone. Once these tutorial missions are completed, players ought to have gained full access to each DZ location.
