Some Rio Olympics Obsevations by TNG (

I hope that you all had the opportunity to watch and enjoy the Rio Olympics that just concluded on last Sunday Night. It was an awesome time to celebrate the greatest athletes from around the world.  Memories were created at the Rio Olympics, as is always the case. We saw champions crowned... or more accurately awarded Gold! We got some of the best 'examples' of how winners and losers differ ultimately.

I Just wanted to take a moment to share a few of those observations from the Rio Olympics that I feel can help all of us in business. We saw the Michael Phelps' photo from the first week of the Rio Olympics that said "Winners focus on winning while losers focus on winners". That was such a powerful quote, and the image was perhaps even more so. It showed us firsthand that losers often take their eye off the prize!

In stark contrast, during the second week in the Rio Olympics - the fastest man on earth put on a show! His image during the 100 meter dash was captured and it will go down in history as perhaps, one of the best photos ever taken!

Usain Bolt, Rio Olympics 2016

As you can see, this winner is so fast that he can focus on whatever he wants to focus on!

But, to be fair, it's because of all the hard work that Usain Bolt put in, before he even reached the Rio Olympics.  There were 4 years between the Olympics in London - and by the time these came around he was more than ready. Usain capture gold in the 200 meters and also helped his team capture gold in the 4x100m Relay.

All the while, a 'more than awesome' commercial was playing, about gold.

It's from Dicks Sporting Goods and I'm telling you, if you have not seen it - you need to. We also wrote about this amazing fact about gold in our bodies. As these were just a few of several observations from the Rio Olympics that can motivate all of us working from home. Let's remain focused on our goal, and on bringing the gold already inside of us out!
