I often wonder whether or not people really truly know their worth. We so often associate our worth or value to material accumulation but at the end of the day what we have means so little. If we think that our worth is connected to what we can do for people instead of who we are to people. I personally value connecting with people and building my interpersonal relationships because, no matter what I may accomplish in this life not having someone to enjoy it with is a sad thing to behold.
Everyone has intrinsic and unconditional value and worth as a human being. This cannot be lessened no matter what you do or who you are. However, we don’t always recognize or accept this worth for ourselves, at least not unconditionally we always seem to attach a but or and if. We place conditions/restrictions/requirements on how we value ourselves and how worthy we feel based on things like how much money we have, whether or not our so called peers approve of and like us, how much we like ourselves, the choices and mistakes we’ve made, our position in life, our social status and so on.
Your self-worth, then, is the mark of your own recognition, acknowledgement and approval of your true intrinsic worth or value – the unconditional love that you have for yourself and the significance you place on yourself without regard to who you are, what actions you take or what your relative status is.
It is important for you to know your worth because, you are the person who teaches the world how to treat you. Be strong, be fearless, be honest, be courageous, be bold and most importantly be your Authentic & Pure SELF. Remember you were born worthy and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
