I have been thinking a lot about the importance of integrity lately and more specifically business integrity. First of all let's define integrity, Integrity means the adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. Business means a person, partnership, or corporation engaged in commerce, manufacturing, or a service; profit-seeking enterprise or concern. So Business Integrity means a person, partnership, or corporation engaged in commerce that adheres to moral and ethical standards with character.
In my opinion, ALL business owners must operate under the principle of Business Integrity in order to gain authentic success. I know that when we first started thinking about starting a business, our reasons were varied. From the main reason for most, we needed to make money, for others it was to fulfill our divine purpose and passion and for others it was both. Whatever our reasons for wanting to become business owners, it is my hope that as you were planning and formulating how you were going to build your empires, Business Integrity was at the forefront. If you are not a person of integrity then you will do whatever it takes to get to the top of the success ladder without regard to who you destroy on the way up. Anyone who does business like that, may gain some success but it will not be anything that is really substantial at all. It is my belief that we can be powerful, driven business men and women with integrity and that we will build our businesses based on helping others get what they desire. No man is an island we all need someone to help us accomplish our goal of business ownership and business prosperity.
It is important that as we build our businesses on the principle of Business Integrity that we not forget Relationship Building as it's partner. We must learn how to build solid relationships that are mutually benefiting and not just one sided in nature.
Business Integrity + Relationship Building = A Blessed Business Enterprise
