I have been working online for four years now, and I admit that when I first signed up and got my Facebook account, I didn't know what I was doing because I was a total newbie to the internet. Time passed and I got better and better, and now I know a whole lot more about social networking and the internet and one thing I want to say to anyone that is new. DO IT RIGHT! There are many social networking websites out there and new ones are coming out everyday, and you have to be sure you know what exactly each one is all about. Some of the social networking sites will say you can make residual income by telling others and they will pay you for doing this. What you have to realize is, they will only pay you if you are paying them. If it's free to join, then how can they pay you. More than likely you have to jump through a lot of hoops to be only paid peanuts in the end.
Let's just say they pay you twenty five cents per person that joins, and let's say that you get 20 people that join the site. How much did you make? You just made five dollars, not much but guess what they are not going to cut a check for such a small amount. You have to get a certain amount (say $20) before they will cut a check. By time you reach that amount, you will have moved on and found something else to make money online. Now think of all the time you wasted getting people to join and only making $5.00 for your efforts (which you probably won't get). It's not worth it, I can tell you this much, that's not social networking, because what these kind of sites are doing is trying to tell you it's a business. It's not and that is a fact.
