You are making wonderful progress!
You have your niche, your website, you understand keywords, now it is time to get rolling with the actual “building” of the framework, starting with the creation of a few website pages.
It is important to deal with your site structure and your "vision" early on, so this is going to become a common theme until we can get it hashed out and something that we are going to be working on in the days ahead.
Before I get into the tasks, I have created a video walk-through of this lesson that you should watch below.

Task 1: Get Some Influence from Other Websites (at least 3)
Today we are going to be coming up with a potential direction for your site...
The core of our site is going to promote products and services within our niche, but in order to do this we need to make it a good experience for our audience. To accomplish this, we are going to want to build our website in a way that is useful for people.
To do this, we want to start with organization and menu structure. Although we are not going to be completing our menu now (it will be built over time), I want you to take a few minutes and come up with some ideas based on your research of other sites within your niche. This does not mean copying, this means taking influence and ideas from other sites that we may or may not use in the future.
We can also come up with some of our very own ideas.
Here are some potential categories that I have come up for my “how to lose belly fat” website that I think would be appropriate for a section on my site.
- Belly Fat Exercises
- The Best Diet Foods
- Things to Stay Away From
- Best Weight Loss Products
- My Personal Reviews
- Motivation Stories
These are 7 sections that I quickly came up with by researching the niche a little bit. You should do the same within your niche. Come up with some themes that are relevant to your niche that your audience will be interested in if they visit your website.
Write down a few ideas for this as we will be coming back later as we build out our websites. I suggest you come up with at least 3 ideas (you can get as many as you like though).
Task 2: Create 3 Draft Pages
Your next task is going to be creating 3 pages in "draft" mode on your website. You will not want to Publish these just yet, so as you Add a New Page and create the title of your 3 pages, you will simply want to Save as a Draft.
The first page you create should be related to the name of your website. For example, the domain name for my website is:
So I am going to create my first page as:
How to Lose Belly Fat Fast
Create a page that reflects your domain name. It doesn't have to be exactly the same, but it should be similar.
The other TWO pages that you are going to want to create are:
After you create those two pages, save them as drafts. We are not adding content right now, we're just creating the framework! As with any page or post on your website, these page names and titles can be changed down the road so don't worry about them being perfect.
That is it for this lesson. If you have any questions about any of the content within this lesson, please leave it below. When you are done this initial set-up, you can move onto the next lesson!
