Hello Everyone:
Today we move up twelve years to 1996; when Steve Jobs returns to Apple after being fired from the company he co-founded in 1976 in a power struggle because he insisted that Apple keep innovating instead of resting on it's laurels. Without Steve, Apple's management rested on it's laurels and subsequently was near bankruptcy by 1996.
During the same period; Steve founded NEXT in 1985 and purchased fledgling Pixar in 1986. Steve's strategic direction changed the film industry forever with the highly successful animated movie "Toy Story". Steve married Laurene Powell in 1991 and started a family.
Steve is being interviewed below in this rarely seen 4.5 minute video upon his return to Apple by Louis Rukeyser; host of the weekly PBS TV series Wall Street Week with Louis Rukeyser. -
www.videocontrolpanel.net/VMail.aspx?T=E&L=6882416&D=E3FB5797-1F47-45F0-B8AE-BDC4313CF8AF - - It is ironic that Louis Rukeyser would also be fired five years later after creating the first TV show to focus on wall street without a lot of technical financial jargon. After hosting the show for 32 years; network executives wanted to replace Louis with younger hosts.
The moral of this story is to be prepared and have a NEXT plan.
Be Prepared!
