How to prepare for a doctors visit-What parameters Doc So you or a parent is taking blood pressure medication and water pills known in the medical field as Diuretics. Your doctor prescribes a blood pressure medication that you are to take twice a day and the water pill once per day. How will you plan your medication administration? What will you do if the blood pressure drops? What time will you take your water pill?
These are great questions. Blood pressure medication is to lower your blood pressure. If the doctor has prescribed your blood pressure medication twice per day, it is important to following the order. what you need to know, is maintain a log of your morning and evening blood pressure, take the readings on each MD visit. Purchase a journal, you can buy one at any 99 cent store. Record which arm whether you were sitting are lying down. Most blood pressure medications that are ordered for twice per day may be taken in the morning and before you go to bed. Watch your blood pressure in the early morning if it remains high on your morning check your doctor may want to cover you with a dose in the mid day.
Your water pill if once per day try taking this medication before 2pm it will reduce frequent bathroom runs at night. Because water pills remove fluid from your body, you may become tired record how you are feeling by your blood pressure readings. Take the time to discuss with your Health care provider your concerns. Never discontinue any medication without discussing with your provider. High blood pressure is known as a silent killer keep an eye on it, follow up regularly with your Doctor.
