The Health - Giving Connection

It is said that those who are generous and give of themselves are generally healthier than non-givers. Now science seems to confirm this notion. In 2006 St Hopkins University did a study which found that the study group was 44% less likely to die as a result of giving four hours of volunteer work.
In a 2002 study at Boston College found that sufferers of chronic pain fared better as a result of volunteerism.

Stephen G Post, Dir of Center for Medical Humanities said, "there is no question that it give life a greater meaning when we make this kind of shift in the direction of others and get away from our own self-preoccupation and  problems."

When one considers how the IBOToolBox fosters an atmosphere of cooperation between Associates, we might conclude that we too receive the same health benefits. There is a joy one experiences when one gives. It makes one feel good (and healthy).

"Feed the hungry! Help those in trouble! Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you shall be as bright as day. And the Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy you with all good things, and keep you healthy too; and you will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. (TLB, Isaiah 58:10-11)

Those who are happiest are those who do the most for others.

Wishing all much success on IBOToolBox as we continue giving in the spirit of IBO ToolBox.
