Disease or Deficiency

Diseased or Deficiency?

Have anyone taken notice of the proliferation of Pharmacies lately? Why is there such a dependency on prescription drugs? There was a time when you would see only one or two within a two mile radious in suburbia, but now it's common to see two or even three in the same block.

What do you suppose has changed?

I don't know the cause but I do know more and more people are on prescription drugs; and, it's not only the older population.

Here's my concern...

When we continually take prescription drugs to induce the body to do what it does normally, the various organs of the body shut down or performs less of its normal function. When that happens we become dependent upon prescription drugs to keep the body functioning.

Let us not forget that our bodies are wonderfully made and equipped to sustain life if we take proper care of them. They are intelligent, responsive, and powerful. But we must do our part  and not take unnecessary shortcuts.

So what my point?

It could be that what is labelled disease may be deficiencies which impede the function of the internal organs that are designed to keep our bodies functioning properly. If these deficiencies persist long enough, our internal organs become deteriorated over time and eventually disease sets in.

My premise is that if we nourish and protect our internal organs sufficiently, we minimize disease occurring in the body.

Please comment if you have thoughts along these lines. Blessings to all.
