What Makes an Entrepreneur

Have you ever wondered what fuels an entrepreneur? Are they different from the average person who goes into business?

Please leave a comment with your view of what you think distinguishes the entrepreneur from the average business person.

How does your answer differ from the views expressed on the video below. Please watch.

If its a virus or something of the sort, I contracted it at age twelve. I was drawn to selling all kinds of merchandise. I began with newspapers and graduated to pictures for homes; to garden and flower seeds and eventually to men's clothing with many other types of merchandise in between.

It seemed to have come naturally and I enjoyed it.

Today I am more restrained so as to not come across as "just another salesman selling a product or service.".

I may not be able to properly identify the attributes of the entrepreneur but I can chime in on what it takes to be a "successful" entrepreneur.

Among the several attributes or qualities the successful entrepreneur must have is empathy and regard for the prospect.. We must see from the prospect's point of view regardless the product or service.

Secondly, we must secure the prospect's trust and confidence. Even if the prospect needed or wanted the product or service, they may not do business with a person they did not trust.

Finally, the entrepreneur must have a product or service the prospect need or want.

Please share your take on what makes an entrepreneur in your comments.

THANK YOU
