The GOOD Guys

Who Are The Good Guys?

I have seen so many comments online about the evil corporations and selfish people who run them, especially Microsoft with the billions of people who are using their so called overpriced software. Since I live in the Pacific Northwest, I guess I am exposed to more news (bad and good) about them than those who don't, but I have admired the actions of Paul Allen for many years and how he uses his wealth to bless the lives of others.

This morning I saw the article I linked to this PR and it made me wonder how many haters will try to twist it into something negative. Then I wonder how many lives it will potentially save for generations to come and I can only thank him from the bottom of my heart, especially when I consider that some of them could be my own great grandchildren or other offspring tied to me.

Of course I have already benefited from the blessings provided from owning my own business and selling personal computers and the software that runs on them, created by myself and obviously Microsoft for the last 40 years. Without their support, I would still be working for someone else instead of enjoying my retirement for the last 14 years.

Big business is an integral part of our economy and I am very happy to support them an all the benefits they bring to our society. Not all of the top money makers in these companies are greedy selfish and nasty.

Long live Paul Allen! (one of the good guys in my book)
