TWO ways to expand your bottom line!

First let's examine what a Bottom Line Is.

The term actually means what is left over after you deduct expenses from income for any activity, whether it's your business, home budget or even vacation (which usually goes massively negative).

So if that's the case, you can have a better looking bottom line if you make more income (rather obvious), but in order to accomplish that goal you need to advertise, right?

Some people think if things are going through a tough spell, that's the first place they can cut back and add a little to the bottom line. Like Zig Ziglar calls that Stinkin' Thinkin'. When you are in a slump, that's the time to advertise even more!

But advertising more, does NOT need to desecrate your bottom line as much as you think it will. In fact, if you learn a few good ways to advertise more effectively, it won't do anything to your bottom line but increase it from the extra revenue it produces.

Stop and think of what your ultimate objective is for advertising in the first place. If you think it's to make sales so you make more money, you are shooting yourself in the foot.

The objective should be to increase your contacts, so you can make more money from them over and over. That's more of a long range goal and adds the benefit that by not being pushy and constantly going for the close, you increase the odds you will make any sales at all.
