Why I Post Quotations

IBO Toolbox Wall

I spend time on the IBO Toolbox Wall like most members do and usually find a few things to comment on and share my opinions there too. A good part of the time, I post motivational quotes from other people I read about, instead of ads promoting my business.

Some people may think that's a cop-out, just to keep the Wall Post star without a lot of strain. It's actually a lot more of a strain than posting a link to my business would be, but I think it's worth the effort. The reason is, I won't just post any old quote. I look for things that apply directly to what I do online so they motivate me as I find them.

So the quotes I post become a window into my personality, which builds my BRAND and increases my exposure in a manner that embellishes it. Posting nothing but business links (that mostly get ignored) would (in my opinion) do nothing but put me in the same category as a side show barker, or the slick salesman you see in the aisles of the big shopping stores with the "Deal Of The Day" or "As Seen On TV" or "One Time Offer You MUST Buy Today" pitch. They may get an impulse sale once in a while, but they don't get loyal customers, which is what I am looking for.

My primary business opportunities (both of them) have already reached the point they are paying for themselves with residual income, so I no longer need to work to keep from going backward. I'm not saying I wouldn't like to earn more, but I am no longer desperate like so many folks appear to be.

That puts me in the enviable position of being able to purely enjoy what I do and focus on helping others with no real objective to sell them anything.

I like that!
