How Long is Long Enough?

Are We There Yet?

Maybe as a parent or even memories from your childhood, can you remember any of those long car trips that took hours and hours or even days to get where you were going?

The kids in the back got restless and moaned and groaned until they fell asleep, then started the same cycle all over again.

Then of course the fights broke out and when mom asked what was wrong, one of them screams, "She touched me" and the other replies, "No I Didn't" followed by, "You Did Too, You Toucher!"

The ordeal continues, mile after mile, hour after hour and you wonder if it will ever end.

But the reward is usually well worth it.

Have you been there, done that?

The one thing that helps, is the kids soon realize you are committed and no matter how much they raise a fuss, you are not going to turn back until you reach your final destination and fulfill your agenda, whatever that may be.

I started thinking today, isn't that the same story when you embark on a journey to earn some extra money online?

It's not your kids, but your prospects that are watching to see how committed you really are. If you come up with a new tangent every few weeks and abandon the one you swore was the greatest thing since sliced bread, what kind of a picture does that paint for them?

I'm not saying you can't add a few strategies or tools to make your job easier, but stick with your original map long enough to at least know what what went wrong, then have a good story to tell when you bail out.

Just food for thought.
