Interesting Advertising Experience

Never Stop Learning

You would think that after 18 years doing this stuff I would have tried about everything . . . NOT.

I recently started a new YouTube Channel to focus on tutorials for frugal marketers, since that is where most of the traffic from my past attempts came from.

I thought since I felt like my new channel was so much more inviting and aesthetically pleasing, it would take off naturally. I think the problem is YouTube is so massive now, it's really hard to get noticed.

The Solution?

After a couple of months and a lot of watching videos about the topic, I decided I would take a try at AdWords advertising. I created a new video with the recommended front end to filter for the best prospects and push those not qualified toward the door before I got charged.

Then I went to jump through the hoops to set up my first campaign and did fine until I discovered that my recommended bid per click was $1.98 and could very easily keep running up the bill after I reached my budget limit.

Since I was promoting a free program, I decided to pull the plug before I created a financial disaster.

So Now What?

All is not lost. I am going to shoot a new front end to concentrate on free advertising methods, but first I decided to try it like it is, to at least determine if it was worth the extra work. Or should I just stay on the sidelines and chalk it up to education?

I am going deep sea fishing in the morning, so it will give me some time to think it over without a computer in front of me.

Wish me luck,
