Nostalgia is Comforting

Is Nostalgia Comforting?

Actually, I think of it as Comfort Food for the Eyes and the Heart.

An Interent Friend of mine (who knows I will be turning 80 years old next month), sent me this video that really made me feel good, so I decided to not only write about it but embedd it here so I won't have any trouble watching it again. It will give me a place to go next time I watch the evening news and come away with that hopeless feeling that is so common today.

Just think about what people today are going to look back on in another 50 years. Will the bad stuff that goes on today seem as bad then? Will the advancement in technology be as drastic a change as it has been over the last 50 years?

Maybe they will come up with self defense protection that will make Mace and Pepper Spray seem like childrens toys. I saw an ad for a device that attaches to a purse or keychain that allows the person to pull a pin and it sounds off with a 140 decible alarm for up to 30 minutes and can only be stopped if you replace the pin. I am seriously considering ordering a couple for the wife and I.

How about you? Do you enjoy looking back on the good old days? Do some of those old cars remind you of what you drove back then? Leave a short comment about what it took you back to.

Hope you enjoyed it,
