Generally, people do business with individuals and institutions that they know and trust. Successful (power) affiliate marketers know how to get potential customers to 'know about them'. Unfortunately, many marketers success is short term because they never get the required amount of trust.
Gaining trust, as an individual and as a business, is a goal that everyone should work hard at obtaining. This can be a difficult task. In some cases a total character makeover may be in order.
Here are some helpful hints to get you on the road to building more trust:
1. Honesty is not only the best policy - it is the only policy. Do not make promises you cannot keep.
2. Let the quality of your products/services do the talking. Outstanding marketing and ad programs are essential to growing a business. Understand that marketing attracts the customers. Good products and services keep them.
3. Know what your customers need and want. Give it to them. Never try to force them to accept what you believe is best for them.
4. Always try to give your customers more then they expect. This will demonstrate that your concern for them goes beyond just making a profit. You want them to feel that they deserve more.
5. Be creative. Do not let fear of change make you and your business stagnant. At all times be willing to do whatever is in the best interests of yourself and your customers.
6. Solicit feedback from those you serve and your co-workers. Be prepared to accept the truth and act on it.
7. Maintain a positive attitude. Your conversation, body language and spirit should reject all that is negative. Don't Sing The Blues. It is a one person act. If you want others to join you, sing a joyous song.

 | | I may not have a crystal ball, but I predict lots of cheers for this post. Trust is so essential to what we do. It can take a lifetime to build that and only seconds to destroy it. I'll add another piece to Number 1. Admit when you don't know an answer and take the time to find it. |
