A Quality Marketing Program Breeds Online Success

When you begin planning your marketing program, start by making sure you have a quality product that is in demand. If your product is bad, no quality or quantity of marketing will save your business. It is dead before you get started.
If you have a product that customers want, you can take some initial steps that will greatly improve your chances of operating a successful business.

1.  Gather information about your competition - Check their websites, literature, and advertisements. Use Goggle analytical tools, Alexa, and word of mouth to learn all you can. The more you know, the better you can compete.

2. Subscribe to publications such as Target Marketing and Internet Retailer to stay informed of the latest trends in your industry.

3.  Make mobile marketing part of your strategy - Email marketing is 'king of the return on investment' hill and sixty (60) percent plus of emails are read on mobile devices. to take advantage of this opportunity your site must be mobile friendly.

4.  Timing is very important - Days of the week and time of day can influence the traffic you receive. Use annual reports of marketing research companies (i.e. Direct Marketing IQ) to get information.

5.  Work to become an expert on your product and target market.

6.  Design a customer friendly plan - Good communications with your customers can build loyalty and residual income for your business.

7.  Have specific goals and strategies. Do not 'flip flop'.

8.  Stay the course - Give your plan time to work.

9.  Track your success - Make adjustment on the basis of the results obtained. This should include customer feedback.
