The Time Is Now

Currently there are 38 million home-based businesses in the United States

Starting a home-based business is more common than ever before. The support systems are larger, the training is better, and the community is larger than it has ever been.

Think about it this way. You decide you are going to open a small business. Let’s say it is a clothing boutique in your local strip center. You rent a building, you buy inventory, you advertise, and hopefully, you sell. Historically you stand a 50% chance of going out of business in your first year and a 90% chance of going out of business by your fifth year. While the statics are approximately the same for Network Marketing careers, the advantage lies in the lower liability.

With Network Marketing you can run the business off a computer from your home. You don’t have to sign a long-term lease on a retail building. You don’t have to purchase business insurance. You don’t have to spend huge amounts of money on advertising. The liability is lower.

The main thing to keep in mind when running a business from home is you need to leverage technology as much as you possibly can. You need to build an online brand. You need to reach out to people in a friendly and non-spammy way. You need to train your team on their time. Or have a marketing system that levels the playing field for everyone...and one that almost everyone can participate in!
