4 Wheel Alignment Centre Liverpool : How important are tyres on your vehicle?

L20 8NL

Suddenly you have put new tyres on your car and now it is pulling.

You had a puncture in one of your tyres , replaced the tyre and now it is pulling or steering wheel off.

This is the most common problem we here at Wheel Alignment & Balljoint Centre find on a daily basis.

Tyres play a major role in the way your car handles and drives.

There are a few stuff you need to have a look at when you thinking of buying tyres and I will discuss them here.

When you need to buy tyres for your vehicle, always make sure that they are the same make and thread pattern. Customers walk through the door explaining to me that their vehicle is pulling to the one side.

I then have a look at the tyres on the vehicle and observe that they are of different make and/or pattern. After swopping the wheels around from left to right (as long as they are not rotational tyres) the customer then takes the vehicle for a drive again.

To the amazement the vehicle is pulling to the other side......

This is what they call a tyre pull.

This might not always be the case. If the vehicle is still pulling to the same side then a 4 wheel alignment check is needed to identify the problem.

In conclusion, when you thinking of buying tyres, always make sure that they are of the same make and pattern.

If you find that your vehicle is pulling to the one side, check your tyres and make sure they are the same. If not, swop them from one side to the other. If the vehicle is pulling to the other side, then you have a tyre pull and need to purchase some new tyres. If not , then ring us to make an appointment to identify the problem.
