I firmly believe that you can do anything for 20 minutes. You can get through several pages of a boring book, boring speech or a tough job. You can stand outside in the cold or in the heat for just 20 minutes. Then why is it that some individuals can't spend just 20 minutes working out? It doesn't have to be a sweatfest, it can be a brisk walk, swim, use of hand held weights sitting in a chair will suffice. Now for well over 25 years, I have been doing just that, spending 20 minutes or more working out 3 - 5 days per week. Not at a costly gym but right at home, faithfully putting in the videos(when videos were king) and now a wide variety of dvd's. Sometimes I only have 10 minutes to spare, sometimes an hour! If you practice this habit 3-5 times per week, positive results will occur over time. Just simple repetative actions form a lifestyle change that can benefit you for a lifetime. When I started working out with Richard Simmons, then Charlene Prickett, then Nancy Larsen all exercise experts on TV, my children were young and there weren't dvr's available to make it more convenient but I worked around those TV schedules and got busy. So what's your excuse for not getting up and moving to whatever beat you chose?
