What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything

What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything

Trying something new can be little intimidating. Perhaps you are thinking of starting your own business, or changing to a more lucrative career.

Maybe you want to try something less daunting, like learning how to dance, or singing in front of a group, or finally asking a friend to a dinner date. So many maybes, so many possibilities - yet we often are quick to shut them down with a "what if..." followed by a negative thought.

It's like pulling a plant that is just starting to sprout up because there's a chance it could be a weed. "What if" it was a breathtaking, beautiful flowering plant?

Of course, it is a natural reaction to ask, "What if?" But why is it that most of the times the "What if" is followed by a negative? Is it because we are looking for a reason not to do, what we really would love to do? Are we afraid to succeed?

If we really want to explore possibilities, let's say, "What If" I start my own business, and become wildly successful, and love working at it everyday?

"What if" I sing in front of a group, and show my amazing voice to a cheering audience? "What if" I ask my friend on a date, and discover that my soul mate was right there in front of me all along?

All we have to do is switch the "what if" question into possibilities thinking, with a positive outcome. The best part is, the more we practice doing this, the easier it will become. Once we muster up the courage to take a chance on something that we love to do, the easier it will become the next time.

Remember, there is a reason why these ideas keep popping into our head. Faith and intuition will never lead us astray. We owe it to ourselves to fully explore all the possibilities.

Even if things don't work out the way we hoped, at least we know that we had the courage to attempt a new venture, and that gives us the strength to pursue other endeavors in the future. Always look at the positive side of possibilities!
