D Day... 2011
In 1945 the world celebrated the end of a global war. For years men and women from all over the world had fought and died. Yet this is not the most important date of the war, the date that really matters came on June 6th 1944, 15 months earlier. You see that date was the pivotal point of the war we know as D Day.D Day was a strategy the allies put together where they collected intelligence, mapped a out plan of attack, gathered their resources and then in a massive effort committed everything they had in a powerful execution of that plan.
What does this have to do with you, everything! Unless you are independently wealth and can do as you please, every day of your life is a war. You battle to make the money to pay the bills, buy new things give your family what it needs... food, shelter, security.
You fight traffic to go to work and home again and all the while you struggle to prove your worth to your employer, there are others (enemies) out to take your job, replace you with a machine or someone younger.
Technology, downsizing, the economy, illness, age, all things that will put you out of work and dump you into despair like a POW sitting in a camp.
It doesn't have to be that way, technology is something that works both ways and you have the opportunity to make 2011 the pivotal D Day in war to take back control of your life. Here's the catch....
There is an old joke about "how many psychiatrists it takes to change a light bulb... just 1 but the light bulb really has to really "want" to change." You are going to have to "want" to change too.
As long as you are satisfied with things as they are you will have no control over your life. Like a general who does not pick the battlefield you will always be at a disadvantage and subject to making do with what is at hand.
Never in history has any general gone into battle just wishing he could beat the enemy or counted on luck that he might win. Every time a battle is planned it is with the intention of overcoming the foe. You need the intent too!
So here is my question to you... "Are you going to keep wishing and hoping for a better life?" or are you "Going to make 2011 your D Day?" by wanting the change badly enough to actually do something about it?
