Effective Marketing Effective Marketing is critical for internet success. Millions of people are on the internet looking for opportunities to make extra income or completely replace their income with a business online. While people are getting into business opportunities, and also promoting existing businesses on the internet, very few do in fact succeed in this endeaver. In fact, according to the Direct Selling Association, 97% of people in network marketing don’t make money. There are a whole variety of reasons for that, because it is a huge industry, and their are a lot of companies in network marketing and each company has tens of thousands, and in some cases hundreds of thousands of distributors. So, there is a lot of competition not only among companies, but also among distributors and individual business owners seeking to capitalize on an ENORMOUS global market. One particular area that contributes to the 97% failure rate is that most network marketers don’t understand internet marketing, and don’t understand marketing in general and how to promote their business to get people to want to join in. Effective Marketing is not an easy task. First and foremost, it requires a lot of knowledge and a lot of expertise with respect to the internet. The skills set and expertise translate into know-how which is what differentiates the six-figure income earners from those that barely make a $100 a month in their business. Know-how and the ability to exploit the huge global market are among the reasons for success for these six-figure income earners. So, the question then is, what is effective marketing. First of all, in order to market effectively on the internet, one has to really understand the internet, understand the market for their business or products, and understand what consumers want and how it applies to what they have to offer. Understanding the market is a prerequisite element needed to develop a program that will achieve the objective of reaching a target audience for the company’s products or services. It takes time to conduct research in order to find out what the market wants, what people are looking for and where they are going to get it. Moreover, it takes time and effort as well as minimal expenditures in order to advertise a business or a product/service to a target audience. Effective Marketing means to present your products and services in front of the people who are looking for them or who are interested in learning about your products and services. This has to be done on a consistent basis, because research consistently shows that the average person in the US will have to see a product and service 7 different times in order for them to buy the products. This usually means that the average consumer has to see the products in different places, in order to have any level of confidence in it. With that in mind, there is no question that a web presence is necessary, in order to market effectively on the internet. Effective Marketing means to establish a web presence, branding yourself on the internet, be social and liked by your peers, providing value to your prospects and fellow internet marketers, establishing your reputation as knowledgeable and resourceful. In addition, effective marketing also means to have a system in place that makes effective use of your time, because time management is essential to be successful in any business. Internet marketers spend a lot of time on the internet, countless hours a day, trying to market and promote their business. However, the productivity rate is very low, for various reasons. Effective Marketing requires an entrepreneur or a business enterprise to develop a system that is time effective and that yields results. The truth is that the most successful people on the internet are seldom the ones that spends very little time on the internet. What is strange is that those people are a thousand times more productive that than the ones that put up 10, 12, 14 hours on the internet. There is a reason for that. Successful internet marketers learned and understand the power of two principles LEVERAGE and DUPLICATION. With Leverage, successful businesses are able to exponentially raise their level of productivity. They do this by being able to reach tens of thousands of targeted audience that are interested in learning about their products or services. The second principle for effective marketing on the internet is DUPLICATION. Duplication is the ability to have an average person do exactly what you did in order to generate good results. It requires businesses and internet marketers to have a system in place that is simple and easy to use. The whole idea behind that is to allow even non-technical people to be able to perform simple tasks and yield good results. For successful businesses, effective marketing means having a system in place that reach a lot of targeted audience and that is easy to set up, and easy to teach to others.
