Easy Home Remedies for Insomnia

If you think that insomnia is a problem that has been created in the modern age, think again. As such you have probably come across some of these easy home remedies that were handed down from generations. There's the famous "a cup of warm milk" before bedtime. I do remember it as I was growing up. Warm milk is supposed to guarantee your sleepiness. It may have worked for me in the past. After all, most children would be put to sleep this way. I haven't tried this one, but I came across it. It's "soaking your feet in a tub of hot water" just before going to bed. Warm feet are supposed to induce sleep. Well, I certainly don't remember ever going to bed with cold feet! LOL! Maybe I will try this one of these days. Some people would take a brisk walk after the evening meal. This would be around four hours before bedtime. Accordingly, this is supposed to cause you to become sleepy right around bedtime as your heart rate slows and your blood pressure drops. And then there's a day of hard physical labor. Working long and hard during daylight hours promotes a good night's sleep. So why not add up some exercise and household chores to your daily routine so it will feel like you've done some hard physical labor.
