A Realistic Budget For Internet Marketing-Your Quest For Freedom & Money!
One of the most common questions that I get all the time from subscribers of mine is:
“How do I build my business for free?"
The answer to this might not be what you wanted to hear… but in the long run, you will realize it’s true.
It can be done, but it won’t happen fast, and it won’t happen easily.
Take a look at your Internet Marketing role models. Do you think that they have built their businesses on free resources? Probably not.
I will admit free is a great way to start and a superb way to learn a lot of things, but if you choose to build your business without spending any money on it, it will be noticeably harder and require considerably longer time.
You can get a free website host. You use a free auto responder. You can place free advertisemebts.
You can do everything for free. This is the Internet after all!
But remember that anything that you get for free also benefits the person who gave it to you for free. They wouldn’t be giving it away for free unless it benefited them in at least some small way.
If you choose to host your website on a free hosting service, your site will have annoying pop-ups with ads for other products. You will also have a lengthy and hard-to-remember website and email address.
If you choose to use a free auto responder to manage your mailing list, each message you send out will have a classified advertisement put at the top of it. You may not only lose a few clicks here and there to the advertisements, worse, you may also lose money!
If you choose to place free ads to grow your list, you will receive less exposure to your advertising. You will have to place about 5-10 ads per day, every day to start seeing any results. And this type of work is time consuming and tedious.
It does & can work, but remember, if you want to dig a hole, you can either use your hands, or buy a shovel. Which one would you rather do?
To your success, ralf dooley

| | | | | Excellent blog post Ralf and keen observation. I agree, money is both a tool and stored energy. We use money to engage others resources or skills that we either don't have ourselves or we would rather not spend our time on. The energy must be expended either in the form of money/currency or sweat equity. |
| | | | | This is just about the sanest brief summary of building an internet marketing business, delineating the pros and cons of both free and purchased tools. Well written, Ralf!
To reduce the cost of an internet business further, we do have some excellent free tools available here in IBOToolBox, such as the "Live Chat" button with "Live Conferencing"! |
| | | | | Great post Ralf! For many, Free is the only option to get started. It may take a lot longer, but putting your heart into being able to work from home still beats going out for 8+ hours a day working for someone else... Luckily we have a Free home here with IBO to help get exposure! But it is also very important to start reinvesting some of your new earnings on some paid advertising as soon as you can! Thank you for sharing Ralf and much continued success! |
| | | | | This makes proper sense. Is there such a thing as a free lunch...I don't think so. Somebody provided the resources and got a pay-off. Even fungi need a host of some kind! Congratulations on FMOTD honor...well respected and deserved. |
