Automating Your Sales Funnel Process

First things first... if you are trying to make money online you have to learn how to set up your own sales funnel. In my experience, one of the biggest hurdles for the average person online is not understanding the sales funnel process.

Some people call it the 3-C process. 

  1. Create 
  2. Capture 
  3. Convert

First, you want to create a piece of content. Whether that be an ad, a video, a blog post, etc. The next thing you want to do is capture contact information from your prospects. Finally, you want to convert those leads into sales. 

Now obviously, there's a lot more to it than that, but this is the general premise of how money is made online. Particularly in the home based business niche. 

How to Capture Leads

There are a bunch of different marketing systems out there that you can use online. Some of them will allow you to build your own website marketing funnels and even come with built in autoresponders. 

Regardless of the system that you choose, I would recommend that you at least have your own autoresponder outside of the free one that you received with your online marketing sytem. The primary autoresponder used by the majority of internet marketers is Aweber.

Owning your contact list is importnat. When you have your own contact list you can use it as you please. More importantly, you can follow up with your contacts as much as you'd like, about anything that you'd like. 

Also, very few people actually buy on their first time seeing your opportunity. So if you plan to cultivate some of those leads into sales then you are going to have to follow up with your leads on a consistent basis. This gives you an opportunity to build relationships with your list. Eventually leading to sales and conversions. 

Lead Magnets

Another feature of a solid sales funnel is to develop a "lead magnet". Lead magnets are simply methods or means of giving people an enticing reason to give you their contact information. 

Below are a few examples of lead magnets: 

  1. Free e-Books
  2. Free Video Training Series
  3. Free Podcasts
  4. Free Software
  5. Case Studies
  6. Recorded Interviews
  7. Over the Shoulder Training

All of the above are different "bribes" that could encourage a potential prospect to enter their contact information on your sales funnel capture pages. 

The better your lead magnet, the better your conversion rate... which means more leads, and ultimately more sales for you in your opportunity.
