Business Feasibility Studies and Project Management in Business, Marketing and Technical Applications

We hope that everyone is experiencing a good year. In the days and weeks to come, I shall be writing articles pertaining to the application of the various facets of Project Management as applied to business and marketing. As some of you have noted from my LinkedIn profile, I have a graduate degree in Project Management as well as extensive technical project management experience. I have applied project management skills in business and marketing also, but not to the same extent thus far.

In the coming weeks, I am planning to address the following as a minimum and share it with you:

- Setting Goals and Project Planning. This is an important area in that it allows you to determine what you desire to achieve as project outcomes and how you will be able to complete the overall project process.

- Business and Technical Feasibility Studies. These are important in order to determine the viability of a project or set of projects in terms of its technical, financial and other merits.

- Creating Project Plans. This requires the determination of the set of main and subordinate tasks that will be required to be completed. Associated with this will be estimations of the time to complete the tasks as well as consideration to the allocation of financial, human and other resources required to complete all identified tasks. 

- Time Management. This is an important facet of Project Management in that control of efforts with respect to time expended must be monitored. This is in order to determine the status of the project as to whether or not your project is on schedule.

- Creating and Maintaining Documentation. All projects must be documented in the planning/definition, implementation and closeout phases.

- Communications Management. This covers both written and verbal forms in order for all parties concerned with the success of the project to properly and effectively communicate.

I am also in the process of working on various technical and business feasibility studies and surveys and will be seeking assistance from present and future Associates regarding a number of subject areas. The results of this work will be shared free of charge to all Associates. For those of you who are interested, please check my IBO profile for my connection on LinkedIn.
