Project Time Management for Business and Other Applications

We hope that everyone is experiencing a good 2019.

We all know that there are 168 hours in a week. When you are managing your business project or projects, you have determined your goals and desired end results. In the performance of your day to day work in order to reach these objectives, you should consider the following:

- Make a list of all weekly tasks, personal and business, that have to be performed

- Associated with each task, estimate a time that may be required to complete it (In Project Management, we use optimistic, mean and pessimistic estimates and apply a simple formula to determine times for individual tasks.)

- Realize that some tasks can be performed in parallel while others must be performed in a sequence and that in any project, there will most likely be multiple paths

- Make note of any interdependencies between some of your tasks in your project

- Sum up the total times for each set of task paths in your project. The path that has the longest set of time durations is your project`s critical path and indicates the earliest time in which you can complete your project

Finally, always remember to consider time for commuting, correspondence, maintaining your health, sleep and spending quality time with family, friends and associates.

For those of you who are interested, please check my IBO profile for my connection on LinkedIn. It will explain what my professional background is and provide answers to some of your queries.

Again, we wish everyone good success in 2019 and good health and success to everyone. We truly thank everyone again for your continued advice, assistance and support.

Mark
