What are you really selling in your business? When you think about it, you may not be selling what you think you are and this can result in difficulty your business.
Think about it. If you place one order, and provide one product, you are selling that product. But, is the company doing any sort of follow-up, such as additional offers? If they are, you may also be selling a lead list to your company.
What about something like a “Product of the Month” program where a company makes a monthly sale based on the names you develop for them? When you think about this, in this case, you sell products in the first month only and then you transform into a lead list. Most residual building programs fall into this type of category. This could be insurance programs, network marketing, etc.
So let’s look at my company, Great Vehicles ( GreatVehicles.net ). I am selling embedded vehicle classifieds to website owners. I am selling an enrollment at no cost to the site. My customers are the owners who want to earn a commission when their visitors click on ads placed on a dynamic page of vehicle ads. I’m selling enrollments, not cars, although cars are the end product.
So what are you really selling?
