Why would a website owner/webmaster want to become involved in placing vehicle classifieds on their sites? I think they only need to look at the trends in the auto market to realize that there is a huge opportunity here.
Let's start with a few basic facts, according to the Federal Trade Commission:
In March, 2012, US Car sales rose 13%, making the first quarter of 2012, the best since 2008. Most of the Detroit-based automakers alone saw sales increases lthat month: Chrysler sales rose by 34%, General Motors saw a 12% increase, while Ford saw an increase of 5% over March of 2011.
New vehicle sales, specifically, increased as buyers were turning to the newest models that feature great fuel efficiency options as a way to protect themselves from rising gas prices. New car sales also increased because there is strength in the used vehicle market and a more limited supply of older vehicles.
Just in March, there was a 23% increase in the number of online vehicle shoppers, a 32% increase in online vehicle searches, and a 1% increase in the number of automotive leads. This trend demonstrates that, in the present economy, more consumers are seeking their vehicle purchases, new and used, on the internet, and all indications are that this trend will continue into the future.
Add on top of this that the market for car sales, new and used is a $1 Billion per DAY industry, it votes favorably for the webmaster to become involved in promoting this rapidly expanding industry.
