Stress is still killing folks at an ever increasing rate. It's no secret why. The economy, we are in many entances wondering, will my job be next on the chopping block? Must of us are only a hicup away from total devastation at any minute, just talk with hurricane katrina survivors.
We are a stressed people. What can we do to reverse this killer called stress? "Don't worry. Thats right we can't worry about the stress in our lives, because that in itself creates more stress. What's your plan? Or do you even have a plan? Remember, stress is still killing folks.
How do we release our stress? You already know. Put that twinkie down, start eating and drinking healthier, exercise, stop smoking, go back to school and finish what you started, work on our time management, no more (CPT), start that retirement fund or update it, get that check up from the neck up. In other words we have to quit jiving and take care of ourselves. Can we do it? Yes we can.
To get started lets check out one simple stress release exercise that works well for me.
Open your mouth wide enough to hear a click in your ears, now inhale deep and slow, thats good , fill up your stomach, hold it for 10 seconds, followed by an audible sound, releasing the sound "AHHH!" Repeat until relaxed. 3 times should do it. Today: Stress Less. Remember stress is still killing folks.
