I was listening to Esther & Jerry Hicks (Abraham). She talked about our thoughts that and how they connect.
The example she shared was the ideal of wanting to tie a rope from a ship to the dock. Well the rope that is needed to secure a boat needs to be pretty thick. The challenge is how would you get that rope from the ship to the dock? It wouldn’t be humanly possible to throw the big rope.
So the solution is to splice the rope and add a smaller rope and then a smaller rope to that one and then a smaller rope until the rope is small enough to throw.
Well your thoughts work the same way. You start with a single thought. Then similar thoughts will start to attach until the original thought is gigantic. So the longer you allow a thought to hang out, the larger it will become. Another way to say this is “what you focus on grows”.
So be careful of the small thoughts. As soon as they pop up, if they are defeating thoughts, work on creating empowering thoughts. Then you can allow the empowering thoughts to grow.
