John Maxwell did a one minute coaching on the word "humor". I read feedback from others and it created a desire to put my views (which I shared on his site) in a blog.
In my view, humor is being able to understand that you arrived here to enjoy the journey. Because others haven't figured it out is no reason to allow them to place pebbles, rocks or boulders in your path. Carry a shovel with you, so you can remove those obstacles that fall on your path.
By the way, if "you" place the obstacles there, you must say, "self" and your self will say "huh" (Mr. Brown - Tyler Perry character). "We came here to experience life and to value everything. Everything that crosses our path allows us the opportunity to figure out what we want and don't want. So what do we want?"
Our inner-self knows we are here to have fun. Sometimes our flesh just has to be reminded.
I heard someone say a long time ago. "There are two types of surgery. Major if it is me. Minor if it is on you." So I take that to believe that our "major" enermy is "en-e-me" as T.D. Jakes said. So if we can laugh at ourselves, the rest of the world becomes a joy.
As Esther and Jerry Hicks (Abraham) teach - "The world is a buffet". What that means to me? We must enjoy everything the world has to offer. And if you look at it that way, you can laugh all day. Why? People and the situations we find ourselves in are humorous if we think how we got there. We tend to make something that was minor, major. Enjoy the journey.
It ain't right. It ain't wrong. It's just my opinion.
