Life analysis

In my own life it has been a series of ups and downs.  I take comfort in the fact that my Ancestors have gone through the same types of challenges.  Some sucessful and some complete failures, but they have managed to live their lives how they saw fit.

One of the largest events in a lot of my Ancestors lives was marriage, children and moving.  All these events I have experienced in my own life.  I have always been struck with how often the spouses my ancestors married lived in the same areas.  It has always interested me on how they met.  In the case of my maternal grandparents my Grandfather was living in one part of the state for most of his life.  My Grandmother had lived in several areas in the same State plus had lived with her family out of State.  During one of these moves with her family she met my Grandfather.  They would later get married and have two children.  What the story was behind their meeting I do not know, but have always been fascinated by it.  They both died prior to my birth.

My grandfather was faced with many challenges in his life.  He was only educated up to the High School level.  He enjoyed the outdoors and growing things in a Nursery.  The area that he met my grandmother in had a lot of these types of businesses. He was a very hard worker.  Due to the nature of this business he would spend his summers down in Florida.  My mother has many fond memories of spending her winters in School down South.

My Grandparents lived rich lives with memories and family.  They were never what we would call Rich today, but lived solid fulfilling lives.  The values they instilled in my Mother have been passed down to me and I have in turn tried to pass them on to my Son.

As I get older I appreciate more the things I have learned and the mistakes I have made in my life, but realize my Ancestors faced the same challenges.  This gives me some level of personal peace and their example has influenced me in the many events in my life.

If you want to discover and record the events of your Ancestors drop me a line.  Happy Valentines Day.
