A week or so ago, I saw an article about a new book titled The Best of Success by Mac Anderson and Bob Kelly.
There was an excerpt in the article about Golda Meir, Israel’s first woman Prime Minister. It mentioned that she came from very humble beginnings in Russia to become leader of a nation.
I was interested to read that Golda Meir once summed up her "secret of success" in these words: "Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement."
It got me thinking about how important it is for us to keep “fanning those tiny sparks” by constantly working on improving ourselves and developing our skills not only so we will reach our dreams and become successful but also so that we will be of value to others in helping them to succeed.
We as Network Marketers, developing our businesses and ourselves have a lot of choices to make about which path to take to success. Our way is not always easy and sometimes we make poor choices and have to go back to the beginning. All of us have had to change our thinking about some of our projects. These setbacks should not be seen as defeats…we can look on them as valuable lessons learned.
And, if we are taking self improvement seriously and are consistent in working towards our goals, we will develop a strong belief in ourselves that tells us we can get up from those falls, brush ourselves off and start a new project with the confidence that we are right around the corner from the great success awaiting us.
