ESTABLISHING YOUR BRAND: Perhaps the greatest challenge facing
those of us who work from home is establishing YOU as a BRAND.
As one marketing expert said, "Whether they realize it or not,
many companies don't have an accurate sense of how they are
presenting themselves to the public."
When someone responds to your ad what/who does he/she think is at
the other end of the line?
What do you look like?
Are you someone the person wants to do business with?
Will you/can you help that person reach his/her goals?
As that same marketing expert added, "Every brand has a story.
FORBES MAGAZINE tells us: "In one sense, perhaps the most
important sense, a brand is a promise."
Think of some top brands and you immediately know what they promise:
McDonald's, Coca Cola, Budweiser, Ford, Apple, MetLife.
Few of us know the origins of the products we use and companies we

In Home based business, sadly, the 'BRAND' or promise is
often one of rip offs, incomplete information, false promises, lack
of support, etc.
So how did we take our business from being just another sorry home
based business to a respected resource? We did not have a story to
tell when we began.
I can recall many of the responses to my little classified magazine
ad beginning with, "I know you are ripoff like everyone
else" or "I know you won't respond ...."
But, gradually, as we responded to questions, enhanced our
information and had our home based business built, we gained
credibility an email and a customer at a time.
Today we rarely get negative emails (we published a great one last
Saturday) but commonly receive emails telling us, "I respect
your opinion so please tell me ...." Or, "I know you are
successful, so what do you think ...."
Here is my personal definition of BRANDING: Building your
reputation for honesty, expertise and help so consistently your
customers becomes loyal, look to you for the help they need, and
When you reach for a Coke you don't question whether it is safe
to drink: Coca Cola created the notoriety with advertising but
became a brand because you can trust their product.
WHAT IF you had a web presence that was well known, visible in a
variety of media, and conveyed professionalism, authority and
integrity? And WHAT IF this web presence would lead people to your
inventory of programs?
And WHAT IF 'your' story was told for you on a national
And WHAT IF you could enjoy immediate credibility with anyone you
come into contact with?
This is exactly what I am working on and am confident I can do. I
have the idea refined, I have a public relations agency to build
our image, I have the method to help you become the Coca-cola or
American Express of home based business. Now it's a matter of
putting the pieces together, giving you the way to
immediately benefit and then managing the growth.
What I am developing is something I have not seen before. Some
companies, like Zeekler, have a great individual BRAND but we as
individuals rarely do. We can provide that BRAND in a very simple
way while letting you retain 100% autonomy as the owner of your
