This past week I had the pleasure of connecting on IBO with a former Army soldier. He also has an herniated disc in his neck, and this gentleman has physical pain very similar to what I have. Pain, numbness and total discomfort.
I was born and raised in a rural Amish territory in N.E. Indiana, on a farm. And the only association I ever had with the military was through my Uncle who retired from the U.S. Navy. For medical reasons, I was born with Cerebral Palsy and I was unable to join the military service, most likely the Navy, would have been my choice. My height is about 5"3" so I do not know if I was even tall enough for the service.
Now as an adult I live in an Army town in North Carolina and I learned more about the soldiers life style and their dangerous environment, with protecting our country, and in many cases protecting the world. My hat goes off to all the military people and if this crooked body of mine, could stand and salute, the gentleman I am referring to above as well as every active and retired military person in this country-- I stand (in my electric wheelchair) and I salute all of you men & women, for serving our country bravely.
There is no temporary defeat in our military. They are all winners. But better than winners these military people who are a part of every branch of service, "Are World Champions" for the service, they give us. And I thank you.
I am going to reconnect with the person I referred to above with my video email and hopefully in my conference room and salute him in my own way, very soon. Thank you for listening. The free video emails and other services we offer, will help every person connect from people far away, such as my new soldier friend.
